Making Your Wishes Known
Life is complicated. So is end-of-life. This presentation is for individuals who are interested in planning for their health care needs now, and in the future. The goal of this topic is to give attendees the tools to be able to approach complicated health care decisions from a position of planning versus at a time of crisis.

Good Grief: Embracing the Journey
This presentation offers its attendees the opportunity to learn about “finding growth in loss” and focuses on enabling individuals with ways in which they can make the most of a difficult time.

What is the Right Thing to Say?
This presentation centers on offering advice to individuals who are in the position of walking with others who have a terminal illness. The goal of the presentation is to assist people through the process of having difficult conversations and to equip attendees with the tools and resources to effectively communicate at a time when ordinarily they might otherwise feel “at a loss for words.”

Walking with Others Through Grief
This is another great option for individuals seeking information on how to be a confident and comforting companion. This information is a great follow up to the presentation “What is the Right Thing to Say?”

How Children Grieve
Individuals grieve differently, including children. This presentation will benefit those looking to learn about how to understand and support children of all ages, through the grief process.

To sign up for one of these events, please contact Denise Stancill, Director of Business Development at 616.396.2972 for available dates and times. Or, if you require a different topic, Hospice of Holland would be happy to design one to fit the needs of your organization or event.
